Questions people ask

How do I find all my subscriptions?

Scan the last two or three months of bank and card statements for repeating names, then check the subscription pages in your phone’s app store and any email receipts with words like "renewal" or "your plan". Annual charges are the easiest to forget, so look back a full year if you can.

What is the difference between review and cancel?

Cancel is for charges you already know you do not need. Review is for the ones you are unsure about: things you use rarely, plans that overlap, or services you could downgrade. The worksheet shows the yearly cost of each group so you can see how much a decision is actually worth.

Should I cancel something I use occasionally?

Ask what the yearly cost buys you. A service you open twice a year is often cheaper to pay for month by month only when you need it, or to replace with a one-off purchase. Pausing is also an option many services offer but rarely advertise.

How often should I do this?

Twice a year is plenty for most people, plus a quick check whenever a price increase email arrives. Keeping the list in one place, such as a recurring transaction in a budgeting app, makes the next audit a five-minute job.
